Department of Computer Science at Peking University is seeking candidates for faculty positions starting in 2019. The appointment will be at the Assistant/Associate/Full professor level.
Areas of interests include, but not limited to:

Candidates should hold a PhD in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field. To be a successful faculty at Peking University, we expect candidates to demonstrate capability in independent research, as well as comfort in teaching.
The department of Computer Science at Peking University is organized in institutes. The institute of Network and Information System is one of the six institutes, which focuses on the research areas including Big Data, Machine Learning, Database, Data Mining, Information Retrieval, Cloud computing, Distributed systems, etc.
Peking University's new faculty recruits are observing a tenure track system, where the new junior faculties will be on a tenure track with a startup package that typically includes an annual salary, housing subsidies, and startup research funding. The candidate will be encouraged to apply for "Young thousand talents program china". A candidate's performance will be reviewed in six years to decide if tenure should be given.
Post doctoral researchers in mobile computing, P2P systems, virtualization, database, or search engine and web mining. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field, demonstrated research potential and willing to take new challenges.With increased accumulation of data, these systems become very unique resources for various kinds of research. We welcome collaboration opportunities with colleagues around the world.
